Lifeline, the Suicide Call Back Service, Kids Helpline, MensLine Australia, 13YARN and QLife are all free to call. Community health centres often provide low cost or free appointments as well, and a GP can help connect you with subsidised options if ongoing support is needed.
Money worries should never be the reason someone goes without support. Lifeline is available on 13 11 14 around the clock, and Kids Helpline supports people aged five to twenty five on 1800 55 1800. It is worth trying, even if the first attempt does not go exactly as planned.
